E-Z Fairlead© - Black |
This interesting photo shows the E-Z Fairlead© from two planes: demonstrating how the fender line (lower E-Z Fairlead) can be cocked or twisted and dropped into the E-Z Fairlead©; while the upper E-Z Fairlead© shows how the line is fully captured and holds it securely preventing marring of the leather by the finder line. | |
Black leather has been shown to need less
maintenance than the tan leather; each present its own cache. |
The E-Z Fairleads©
are thru bolted with 10/24 flat head 316 grade stainless steel and secured
with stainless steel nylon lock nuts. |
This particular FenderHook©
fits an 1 1/2 round stainless steel round hand rail. |
It is fully lined with Sheepskin with the
belief that the sheep's wool will keep sand particles from scoring the
stainless steel rail. It has been found in some cases where sand
blows (i.e. parking lots), sand particles lodge in leather lined fender
hooks and score the polished hand rail. It has also been noted that
if soft leather is used, it may rapidly deteriorate and expose the course
shank of metal to the beautiful and expensive hand rail. |
