Stainless Steel Bail

FenderHook^©with SS Bail		The 316 grade stainless steel is 3/8" bail is TIG welded to the 3" stainless steel shank (core). It is custom bent to fit the vessel's rail. It is generally 3" x 1/8", but can also be in 4" x 3/16" or even 1/4" 316 grade stainless steel.
		The hardware configuration is to the captain's specifications.
		A Stainless Steel Schaefer Cam Cleat is thru bolted with stainless steel nylon lock nuts. The bolts are 10/24, 316 grade stainless steel; counter sunk flat head bolts.
		Notice the detail of hand stitching of the leather between the two legs of the stainless steel bail. This done with multiple strands of Waxed Sailmaker Twine in an "X" configuration, joining the leather and sheepskin in a solid unit that will not open up over time due to weathering.

	The Stainless Steel Bail is useful for fenders that tend to swing a lot - such as ball fenders.
	The Stainless Steel Bail allows for additional fenders to be secured to one FenderHook^© or even a fender board depending on the mooring conditions.
	The Stainless Steel Bail presents a certain statement that the captain wishes to make in the mooring of his vessel
	The Stainless Steel Bail maybe configured to meet the shapes of the hull, rail, and mooring conditions, either semi-circular or square-rectangle.
