New Products

E-Z Fairlead© uses a similar principle as the Skene chock, that is loading the line from the top by laying it 90 degrees to the load line. By flicking the wrist the line is captured by the opposing fingers on the E-Z Fairlead©, and remains secure. Reverse the process and the fender can be easily separated from the FenderHook©, so the FenderHook© can be hung with dignity in a dry secure location befitting her lineage and occupation. E-Z Fairlead© has been issued the following Serial No. 29/250,576 from the US Patent Office and the name is being trademarked

The E-Z Fairlead© is made of 316 Stainless Steel, TIG welded at the base plate. This whole assembly is then electroplated. We use two different base plates, one for flat surfaces the other for curved surfaces. The base plates are then thru bolted with nylon locking nuts to the Stainless Shank of the FenderHook© body. If a cam cleat is utilized, then it is modified to remove the retaining bail allowing the line to be readily removable. The E-Z Fairlead© is designed for lines up to 5/8 inch. The fingers could be squeezed close slightly if only 3/8 inch line were to be used. (Be careful not to mar these fingers)

The welded Stainless Steel bail at the bottom the FenderHook© is a new addition to our fine line FenderHooks©. It is made of 316 Stainless Steel of 3/8 inch diameter which is TIG welded to the Stainless Steel shank inside each FenderHook©. Some captains prefer the look of this design along with the utility of being able to run a line thru the bail or even tie an additional fender or fender board.
